THE OPERATION OF THE TRADING AND RISK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM EGAR FOCUS STARTED IN UFS

UFS started the operation of EGAR Focus automated system, implemented earlier by EGAR Technology experts, the aim of which is the maintenance of dealer and broker investment operations of the company on the share and bond markets in a real-time mode.

The system allows customers to do the positions revaluation and calculate financial results in a real-time mode and over any historical period, offering customers more than a hundred of analytic indexes, including the unique ones.

EGAR Focus solution, explicated in the UFS, supports the work with external systems: Bloomberg informational trading system and online trading systems. The project was fully implemented during six months.

Deputy Director General of UFS Igor Laukhin marks, that when choosing the system of automation of operation on corporate securities market and fixed-income securities, the company oriented towards solution’s functionality, its scaling possibility and terms of implementation. According to him, the implementation of EGAR Focus enabled the back-office work optimization and noticeable reduction of traders’ routine work time when entering and delivering tickets to the back-office. Furthermore, the implementation of the system enabled the creation of secure purchase and sale transactions and REPO transactions database and the creation of sole contractor base.

EGAR Focus is an integrated system, with the help of which financial instruments appraisal, position monitoring, profit and loss calculation, limits control and risk management are realized. The system supports practically all the existing financial instruments for securities, currency and commodity markets work, including derivatives.

A new version of EGAR Focus system, which is operated on the Russian market since 2009, is a highly productive flexible scalable solution with ergonomic interface, which can be easily adjusted for customer’s individual needs and provides the convenience and promptness of trading handling.
